✅ Key points you must check!
※ step 1 - OCR Scan:
- Make sure that the passport information area at the bottom of the passport page is not covered by your hand or light reflection.
- The red dot in the upper left corner will continue scanning until it turns green.
If OCR continuously fails due to light reflection or other issues with the passport, a manual input field will be activated.
Once you enter the manual input screen, please correctly fill in the passport information that OCR couldn't recognize, then proceed to the next step.
※ step 2 - NFC Scanning:
Common
- The location of electronic chips in passports varies by country, and the NFC module position on mobile devices may differ depending on the device.
- Make sure the passport and phone stay together throughout the process.
- For older passports without an electronic chip and passports from countries without electronic chips, the NFC process can be skipped.
However, in this case, certain features and usage limits may be restricted.
- If you skip the electronic passport chip recognition, you can still increase your usage limits later by registering the chip separately.
iOS Users
- Since the NFC module on iPhones is located at the top of the device, please hold the device upright slightly for scanning.
Android Users
- Ensure a stable network connection and that the NFC function is enabled.
- For AOS devices, the NFC module is located in the center. Place your device over the passport and slowly adjust the position for recognition.
※ step 3 - Facial Recognition:
- OCR will be used to compare the passport photo to verify the user's identity. If there is a significant difference between the images, facial recognition may become difficult. Facial recognition involves identifying facial feature points, and weak network signals may increase the time required for this process.
- Facial registration is a required step. If you experience multiple failures, please try again in an area with a stable network connection.
